PFSC-L Evening with the FA Cup - February 6th
Pompey fans took the chance to spend some time with the Famous Trophy.........
It was a night to remember in the Sports Bar at PFC. Over 80 PFSC-L Members and guests enjoyed a night as guests of PFC with Johnny Moore and Peter Storrie entertaining the throng.
At about 19:15pm the famous Cup was brought in in a large black padded case and two burly security guards placed it on a table at the back of the room and one stood gueard all night. The famous old cup was looking slightly worse for wear as it bore the scars of its run ins with the public. The top was bent slightly and the Cup itself showed a large dent where it had been dropped at an EON event. As such we were not allowed to pick it up, which was a great shame.
As soon as it was unveiled people flocked round it to touch and explore this wondrous thing. Photos were taken and many smiled ear to ear young and old alike. Photos of the evening can be found HERE.
Peter Storrie was kind enough to speak and revealed a few Stories of the weekend, from Hermann's antics as Elvis the night before the game to his antics on the Parade Bus. Storrie also revealed a bit too much about his wife having her photo taken with the FA Cup in the altogether! He fielded questions on recent events, Harry's leaving and the ground. Some of it was a revelation, to say the least!
All in all it was a fantastic night and I hope all who were there throughly enjoyed their evening.
