AGM 2009 A Great Success!

Linvoy Primus holds court and wows 90+ guests...........

The proposed attendance of Sulieman Al-Fahim never materialised but for the nearly 100 attendees of the PFSC-L 2009 AGM the evening was a great success because of managed to get Player representation from the club.

In previous years we have struggled to get current playing staff and have arranged to get former players, such as Alan Biley who regaled us with some fantastic stories all night a couple of years ago.  But thanks to Johnny Moore's efforts and a slight injury which meant he wasn't training yet, Linvoy Primus agreed to come along to meet PFSC-L members and answer thier many questions.

Linvoy is a character anyway but his love for the club he now calls "Home" is very evident and that beaming smile of his lit up many times as he told fans about his best and worst times at PFC.  He cited Todorovs goal, that finally clinched Promotion to the Premiership, as one of the best and also all the players he has managed to play against.  Thierry Henry was one such player and Linvoy described playing against him as

frustrating as you knew what he was going to do but you were powerless to stop him.  The periods under Alan Perrin were described as difficult and also Harry's second spell when Linvoy was practically told he could leave were naturally a low point.

But the big man has come through a large period of Pompey's history where it has completely changed and it was good to hear that he has been given a role of mentoring at the club as his playing days draw to an end.  Linvoy will work with Youth and Senior players alike to try and instill some sense of moral guidance and to bring his experiences home to todays Modern Footballers.

The PFSC-L wish him all the best with his new role and also his Charitable work.

All in all it was a fantastic evening with many friends old and new sharing some food, drinks and many laughs.  We would like to thank Lucius Peart (Commercial Director) for his generous donation of the Raffle prizes and also Johnny Moore (Fans Liason) for his work in getting the guests sorted for the evening.
